Shannon L. O’Halloran (b. 1987) is a photo + video artist living in Brooklyn. She received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and her BA from Columbia College in Chicago. Her work is both image and text based and challenges the viewer to confront their own difficult experiences.
I fell in love with photography for two reasons – the ability to manipulate the truth and the power of the camera to reveal truths rather not seen. I think we keep the wrong things secret. Photography is the way I process my world, it shows me different truths, it reveals new realities.
