Shannon L. O’Halloran explores her own emotions and life experiences in her work. She has worked in a variety of media including still photography, video, and textile arts/ embroidery. She is inspired by the likes of Sally Mann, Nan Goldin and Sophie Calle. Much of her work deals with facets of feminine identity.

She has a B.A. in Creative Writing and Photography from Columbia College Chicago and is currently pursuing an MFA at the School of Visual Arts. She lives and works in Brooklyn as a fine artist and commercial photographer/ videographer.
